Wynnum Surf Club Locked In for 2032 Olympic Events
Big news out of the bayside.
After what we can only describe as “extensive discussions” (one group chat and a few beers), Wynnum Surf Club has officially unofficially been locked in as a venue for the 2032 Olympic Games.
Yes - you read that right.
A world-class facility… allegedly
Plans have been unveiled for a brand new, state-of-the-art clubhouse right on the Wynnum foreshore. Think sweeping ocean views, a rooftop deck, and enough room to comfortably house:
elite athletes
local legends
and at least one bloke who’s been there since 10am
The design is said to be “surfboard-inspired”, which feels appropriate given our strong history in… absolutely no competitive surfing whatsoever.
What events are we hosting?
While final confirmation is still “pending”, early whispers suggest Wynnum Surf Club will host:
Tinnie reversing under pressure
Long neck endurance
And the highly competitive “who forgot the esky?” relay
The official (unofficial) uniform
With great responsibility comes great merch.
To support the upcoming Olympic efforts, we’ve released the official (unofficial) Wynnum Surf Club uniform - now available to the public.
No trials required. No experience necessary. Just vibes.
So…
This has probably gotten out of hand.
But at this point… we’re all in.
Wynnum, you’re on the team now.
